The Cause: On 14th March is “World Kidney Day“.The mission of World Kidney Day is to raise awareness of the importance of our kidneys to our overall health and to reduce the frequency and impact of kidney disease and its associated health problems worldwide. See About Mat for more background info.
DibbFest 2013 will be based at the Chichester Hall in Witley, where a team of local men will be cycling non-stop from 19:00 on Friday evening until 19:00 on Sunday evening on a static turbo-training bike. They will be aiming to cover between 750 and 1,000 miles and will each be spending a total of 8 hours in the saddle during the course of the weekend.
During the weekend there will be almost non-stop entertainment running throughout the day and night, ranging from local bands, hot food, raffle, to children’s entertainers and a roller disco. We will also be doing a charity car wash, and you can get your bike checked over for free (+ parts) on Sunday.
Please keep this weekend free on your calendar, and come and join in the fun. It’s a truly worthwhile cause and will be lots of fun for both adults and children. We need you there for DibbFest 2013 to be a success!
In the meantime we are looking for support from any local businesses who could help fund this event. If you would like to help and join our list of sponsors on the website and marketing collateral then please do get in touch with us.
Finally, don’t forget to visit the other areas of this website to see lots more information, training blogs and much, much more.
We look forward to seeing you at DibbFest 2013!
